KAKAS 77 , Living together is understanding each other, and compromise, even friendship needs love, and to be nice to each other. Always the ways of life when people live as neibours or a nation we must get along, and so as love too is the same, one special thing is Love, and not hate! My homage also to my former bands.
Original Kakas I performed this tune with my former band Super Kalles, Papa Kwanda, Adam (Adamor), Mfaume, Mathews "Mashios", Joliba Dundo Ndeke, R.I.P Nijo John Jilo ( Harrison Siwale was our manager also he perfomed with us, he played rhythm guitar with "Joliba Samuel Dundo". Harrison Siwale liked my guitar playing, he was original from Jamhuri Jazz a very famous band in East Africa, after Jamhuri was no more, Harrison met Kwanda, Mathews, and Dundo, and John Jilo, Mfaume, and I was the last Dundo came and picked me up in Mazeras, and we went and started rehearsing. And after that I've been perfomring this tune with every band I came across, like "Zetta Success band".
Homage to my past, in these recordings also I focused on Franco Luambo Makiady a Legend of African music, style Odemba. As in the past Franco Luambo visited Kenya, I was on tour in another city, and I had done recordings with Lessa Lassan a singer from Dr,Nico's band, a legend guitarist from Congo, Lessa took the recordings to Franco, and Franco did ask of me, but I was in another city performing with my original band Sigalame Sound Sytems, when I got back Lessa told me the news, by that time Franco had left, but he sold his instruments to the Ministry of Culture in Nairobi Kenya. Then another Legend named Juma Toto got a call from the Ministry of Culture, they called our band to perform with Kenyan Legends like Fadhili Williams, Juma Toto himself, Daudi Kabaka, John Nzenze, Fundi Konde, and the instruments Franco had sold we were given, and also we were provided with a bus, and we started touring across Kenya in Festivals, socials Halls and other bigger events in Stadiums, we performed at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi. Orch Vundumuna a foreign band performed with us that day, with Tabu Ngongo was there. My journey of music. I would have performed with Franco if I was in Nairobi if I wasn't on tour.
